All Vista and Win 7/8 PCs support exFAT.KB995704 –If restoring to Win 7 or Vista, download & install the Windows NT Backup-Restore Utility, which will then be found under Accessories, System Tools. Then run ntbackup.exe and ignore (click OK) to “Removable Storage not Running”. See Restore a Windows XP Backup in Windows 8 for details on running the restore.
