IMET 4 The ITS-SMX project rationale A spin-off of IMET Sustainable Mobility activities in China –The Beijing ITS-TAP project in the second ring road area –The participation to the CCICED Task force on Sustainable Transport To contribute to improve air quality conditions in Xi’an through the application of ITS To identify a possible Sustainable Mobility action based on ITS, that can be implemented in Xi’an, to Support the Xian Transport Plan To help in intelligent transport control, reasonable distribution of car traffic, management of public transport service, pollution reduction and air quality improvement Project agreement signed by SEPA, Xi’an Municipality, IMET on January 21 2006
