About Ermonassa Taking into account the special needs of the insulation market we invest for the development of the materials and the certification of the products and we collaborate with the Group of Electronic and Magnetic Materials, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) The company has experience more than 15 years in the field of insulation, thermal insulation and the liquid insulation. There is a continuous effort to improve the quality of the products, improvement of services and at the same time reducing costs. 3

Product description The THERMONASSA ultra-thin thermal insulation marks a qualitative scientific leap in construction and industry The elements that make it distinguish from conventional thermal insulation are : – exploitation of the ideal vacuum. – application of low-emission polymers as binding agents. – creating high thermal resistance in boundary nanolayer of filled polymer. 4

The material 5 Empty oxide microspheres (mainly SiO 2 )

Testing thermal insulation – standard method 6 Inter-laboratory comparison tests promised better than 8 mW/m.K

Simulating wall painting 7 We simulated thermal insulation in wall conditions The results demonstrated that 1.5 mm thickness acted the same as the classic 50 mm insulators

8 Simulating pipeline insulation Hot water was supplied to pipelines insulated with Thermonassa I and other insulators Flowmeters and temperature sensors were detecting flow and temperature respectively

Experimental results 9 No insulation illustrated 21.35% energy loss 9 mm insulation suffered 14.44% energy loss Thermonassa I demonstrated the lowest 13.71% energy loss

Comparison with 9 mm insulation 10

11 Comparison with industrial 9 mm insulation

Thermal fatigue 12 We used the facilities of TEMAG SA for thermal shocks from -40C to 200C and back within 35 minutes

Microstructural response after thermal fatigue! 13

Mechanical fatigue 14 We used our pin-on-disk facility and bending mechanisms for our tests

Microstructure after fatigue 15 The breaking mechanisms appeared in spheres larger than 10  m

Products and applications a) Thermonassa Classic Outdoor and indoor heat supply systems Water steam supply and disposal systems of buildings and constructions HVAC systems of residential and public buildings Engineering constructions and facilities Processing equipment at oil and gas industry enterprise Product life is over 25 years 18

Products and applications b) Thermonassa Antirust May be applied just after a removal of loose rust with metallic brush. The product is expedient to be used as the primer before THERMONASSA Classic. Thermal insulation of existing structures and pipelines, Antirust reduces man-hours as no special preparation of the working surface is needed. Product life is over 25 years 19

Products and applications c) Thermonassa façade Can be applied for thermal insulation of plastered, concrete, brick, wood and other surfaces of building envelopes. Highly adhesive to almost all known materials. Can be used both for external and internal construction works. Prevents the growth of fungoid and mould on protected surfaces. Product life is over 25 years 20

Products and applications d) Thermonassa cold Can be applied at the temperatures below zero. Specially it can be applied at temperatures from +5 °C to -15 °C while minimum temperature of application of usual modifications cannot be lower than +5 °C. Product life is over 25 years 21

Applications of Thermonassa 22 Gas & oil applications Drilling Refining Special transmission lines Water steams Heat exchangers Water steam pipelines Food and beverage industries Pharmaceutical industries Energy production Hospitals and medical centers Shipping and shipyards Air-conditioning and heating applications ¼’’, ½’’, ¾’’copper pipelines Steel pipelines and steel crucibles and funnels Station insulators Wall insulation applications Insulation in sky-scrapper metallic structures Classic wall insulation (preferably in a sandwich form) Other domestic applications (roofs, basements etc.)
