2. THE STORY OF JONAH (Tune: “When Johnny comes marching home”) Now Jonah shook his head And said “I will not go, These people are my enemy, I must say ‘no.’ It’s time for me to take a trip, I’ll hide from God In a great big ship.” So he ran away from God, That’s what he did.

3. THE STORY OF JONAH (Tune: “When Johnny comes marching home”) God sent a storm to rock The ship from side to side. The sailors screamed because The waves were very high. Old Jonah cried, “It’s me, not you,” And then he told Them what to do. So the men tossed Jonah Into the sea so blue.

4. THE STORY OF JONAH (Tune: “When Johnny comes marching home”) Now in the sea, old Jonah Felt a great big swish. That pulled him in the Belly of a giant fish. He stayed inside Three days and nights, “Please help me God”, He begged and cried. Then the fish spit Jonah Out where it was dry.
