a management approach that integrates, traditional, familiar and new agriculture and forestry practices into land management systems which contribute to diversification and sustainability.
Intentional - designed and managed for a planned result
Intensive - all components are intensively managed
Integrated - a blend of agriculture, forestry and environmental science
Interactive - designed to minimize negative and maximize positive interactions between trees, other crops and livestock

What is it?
Management approach – purposefully integrates the growing of trees with “crops” and/or livestock.
