4  There are many time when the characters in the crucible have been dogmatic. These characters were Abigail, Proctor, Judge Danforth, Parris, and Mrs. Putnam. All of these character showed dogmatism by their believes of witch craft in Salem.

5  Reverend Parris: Why did Goody Proctor discharge you from her service?  Abigail Williams: Because I refused to be her slave.  Reverend Parris: I have heard said that John Proctor and you...  Abigail Williams: My name is good in the village! Elizabeth Proctor is an envious, gossipy liar! This is a conversation Abigail and her Uncle, Reverend Parris, were having about Elizabeth Proctor. In this conversation Elizabeth is very stubborn to the fact Elizabeth is trying to ruin her name showing a very dogmatic character.

6  "Near to four hundred are in the jails from Marblehead to Lynn, and upon my signature...and seventy-two condemned to hang by that signature" - Judge Danforth  This is a dogmatic quote be Danforth because he is very arrogant about the fact that he has had so many people hung and put in jail. He thinks by stating this people will agree that he is right about the court cases.

7  John Proctor: She is a whore!  Judge Danforth: This will not pass. Can you prove this?  John Proctor: I have known her sir! I have known her.  Judge Danforth: In what time? What place?  John Proctor: In the proper place where my beasts are bedded. In this quote John Proctor is explaining to Judge Danforth who Abigail really is. He is very dogmatic when he is explaining this to Danforth. You can also tell this by the language Proctor uses to Danforth trying to get Danforth to believe what he is saying about her.
