Background 2002 The UNECE and SITPRO signed an MOU to combine their work and produce UNeDocs 2005 UNeDocs was donated to UN/CEFACT and accepted as an official project 2006 The first UN/CEFACT cross-domain Data Model based on ebXML Core Components was released 2007 UNeDocs Data Model V2.0.2 (Stockholm) was released to commence the official ‘Implementation Verification’ stage of the ‘Open Development Process’ 2008 The Buy-Ship-Pay cross-border subset for international trade including UNeDocs was released SITPRO Simplifying International Trade

What is UNeDocs? A project that brings together harmonises and standardises international trade related data using the standards of UN/CEFACT For the production of aligned cross-border documentation and messaging facilitating the move to straight through data processing for international trade for the benefits of all SITPRO Simplifying International Trade
