10 Admissions Criteria Degree requirements Each course has its own entry requirements, which are listed on each entry in our Course Finder. It's important that you read these before applying.Course Finder Degree As an example, we typically ask for the following for degree level entry: two or three GCE/AVCE A Level passes with specific grades OR a pass in BTEC Extended Diploma/Diploma with specific grades OR successful completion of a recognised Access to HE course with specific numbers of Level 3 merits OR other Level 3 qualifications of a similar volume and depth of study as those listed above for example Scottish Highers, Irish Highers or International Baccalaureate

11 Example Entry Criteria to BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Entry requirements 280 UCAS points (including Level 3 Maths or Physical Science) A Level BBC; or BTEC National Diploma: DMM; or Access courses 60 credits, including 45 at level 3 (a minimum of 12 Merits in Maths modules) and 15 at level 2; plus English and Maths GCSE (C or above), or equiv. We welcome qualifications from around the world. English language qualifications for international students: IELTS score of 6.0 or Cambridge Proficiency or Advanced Grade C. Most of our academic staff belong to one or more of these and research students can expect to join a small team working on particular problems.
