5 First Assignment: Find a song (any genre; all words school appropriate) that describes you well. The song could represent your attitude, resources, personality, self- concept, values, interests, or abilities.

35 Your SELF-CONCEPT is recognition of both your strengths & weaknesses and feeling good about yourself by accepting who you are. 1.Self-concept can affect your personality and attitude in a positive or negative way. 2.People with a realistic self–concept see themselves as they are, not how they want to be or how others see them. 3.A high self-esteem -or- respect for oneself, usually comes with having a realistic and complete self-concept. 4.Self-concept can change as you have new experiences and are faced with challenging situations.
