Purpose of the inventory: To catalogue the collected HIV/AIDS related research studies With the concrete objective: To aggregate all published knowledge on the HIV/AIDS epidemic and its response On-going research therefore excluded Research was understood as: A systematic investigation, designed to develop or contribute to generalizable knowledge (University of Virginia, University of Pennsylvania)

Database queries: Pubmed database, for journal articles (Keywords: HIV AND Cambodia) Social Science Citation Index (Keywords: HIV AND Cambodia) Medscape database, for conference papers (Keyword: Cambodia) 2. Handsearch, using the snowball method: Interviewed organizations, who referred me to others,and so on… Method‘s advantage: Allows to identify the Cambodian HIV/AIDS research community Method‘s disadvantage: Excludes organizations outside the community
