11 Features of AIRLINE Online
Features of AIRLINE Online which set it apart from other learning tools and which can be promoted through your course.

12 Team Building Students are encouraged to work in teams, each in charge of a particular aspect of airline operation. This gives each student authority in a particular area, but it also highlights the need for cooperation and communication with their colleagues.

13 Comprehensive Feedback
These teams interact with other teams, competing for the most successful airline. Regular, comprehensive feedback allows each team to review their current operation, and see how they can improve the performance of their airline. Teams can also view data from the other airlines against which they are competing.

14 Interdependence The interdependence of different aspects of running an airline is immediately apparent. Students learn very quickly the value of communication and collaboration in the workplace. And how a decision made in one area can have a significant effect on others.

15 Current, reliable data Current, reliable data is used in the simulation and is gathered and updated regularly from many sources around the world, so decisions can be made in a simulation which closely replicates the aviation industry.

16 Knowledge of equipment
Important knowledge of equipment is crucial to the aviation industry, including aircraft, maintenance requirements and facilities, limitations at airports through to in-flight services.

17 Complex Decision-making
At every stage during their participation in the simulation, participants will be making decisions, complex decisions which need to consider a range of factors, often distant in the causal chain. This ability to bring together relevant data from disparate sources and use it to make a clear, confident decision is a skill valuable not only for employees within the industry, but in everyday life.

18 Measuring performance
Performance is related to both the team’s business plan and their performance compared with other airlines in the simulation. A number of indicators can be selected, depending on the focus and parameters set by the administrator. Feedback is generated by the simulation and forms the focus of further discussions and adjustments to the operation of each airline.
