5 5 Georgia Department of Administrative Services Purpose of this Webinar State Purchasing Division – Statewide Contracts Purpose: The purpose is to introduce State entities and local governments to a new Statewide Contract which provides Sign Language Interpretation and additional remote services for Hearing Impaired individuals at one inclusive rate with discounts based on length of assignment.

Consolidation of Mileage, Travel Time, and Service Delivery into 1 flat rate. Billing related to actual service hours reduces the number of billable hours. Discounted rates based on length of assignment. Entities will use a common form to request services and receive an estimated cost from supplier(s) prior to service delivery. Significant improvements in technology are making these services more accessible; the State has partnered with a supplier that can provide CART (Computer Aided Real Time Translation and Video Remote Interpreting! 17 17 Georgia Department of Administrative Services How to use this contract State Purchasing Division – Statewide Contracts A form has been developed to request services. This form is posted with the contract in the Team Georgia Marketplace and is based on Service Delivery and pricing by Region. Requesters will complete the form and submit to supplier(s) for an estimate. Requesters will then determine based on pricing provided to engage services and confirm with the supplier.

At the top of the page, you will indicate which company you are sending the request. Based on your needs, you will then indicate the type of services needed.

The Supplier will complete the form based on the information you submit and return with pricing.

The rates on our Convenience Contract include travel time, mileage, and services! Absolute Quality Interpreting Services, LLC: If the assignment meets any of the time criteria listed in the discounts, the rate is the posted “discount” rate * hours of service. i.e. Region 1: Basic Sign Language, 3 hour assignment 8:30 – 11:30 AM during Business Hrs. Business Hrs. Rate @ $194.00 per hour; >105 minute assignment offers discount of $97.00. $194.00- 97.00 = 97.00*3 hours = 291.00 TOTAL = $291.00 You will not pay for travel time or mileage as the rate is already inclusive of those items.

24 24 Georgia Department of Administrative Services Service Request – Market Comparison State Purchasing Division – Statewide Contracts After receiving the quoted rate, the Buyer will compare to any other service provider that they might use to determine value. The request for a cost estimate will have to include travel time, mileage, and service hours for comparison. Signing for You Services, Inc: $75.00 per hour Travel time = 2 hours (billed as any portion of an hour = 1 full hour) Mileage = 75 miles round trip Service Hours = 2 hours In this example, you have 4 hours at $75.00 + mileage 75*.55 per mile = 41.25 = 341.25 TOTAL SAVINGS = $50.25
