5. Matt. 27:39-44 39. And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, 40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. 41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. 43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. 44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

Mark 15:29-30 “And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest [it] in three days, Save thyself, and come down from the cross.” Luke 23:39 NKJV “Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." Psalms 22:7,8 “All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8 He trusted on the LORD [that] he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.”

8. Mark 14:65 “And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.” Mark 15:19 “And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing [their] knees worshipped him.” Matt. 27:30 “And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.”

10. Matt. 27:33-34 “And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, 34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted [thereof], he would not drink.” John 19:29 “Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put [it] upon hyssop, and put [it] to his mouth.” Mark 15:36 “And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put [it] on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.”

12. John 19:34 “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.” Psalms 22:16b... “...they pierced my hands and my feet.” Revelation 1: 7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”

15. Luke 23:27-28 “And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.” Mourned and lamented = NKJV

17. Hebrews 6:6 “ If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.”

18. Good Moral life = salvation Acts 10:35 “But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Gal. 6:7 “Be not deceived; GOD IS NOT MOCKED: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

19. Deny their faith - turn away 2 Pet. 2:20-21 “again entangled therein” 2 Tim. 4:10 “For Demas hath forsaken me,” Heb. 10:29 “trodden under foot the Son of God”

20. A Hypocrite God knows the heart - they are not sincere “Does not intend to be what he pretends to be” Matt. 24:51 “…his portion with the hypocrites” Rev. 3:16 “lukewarm” - - Laodicea

21. Reject Jesus Jn. 6:66-69 “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”

22. Penitent people can cry Acts 2:36-37 “…they were pricked in their heart” NKJV “they were cut to the heart” NASV “they were pierced to the heart” Peter’s sermon carried conviction !

24. “…that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” Heb. 2:9
