4 Hillary Clinton Former U.S Secretary of State U.S Senator Former first lady As Secretary of State she visited more countries than those who preceeded her. She is making an impact now as she prepares to run again for the presidency in 2016. If she wins she will become the first female president of the United States. Return to the Main Menu

5 Malala Yousafzai Is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize recipient/ After an attempted assassination on her life in October 2012, she became the most famous teenager in the world. She is a firm believer in equal rights and education for everyone. Her stance for women’s rights are very strong and she is an advocate for Return to the Main Menu

6 Mother Teresa “Blessed Teresa of Calcutta” An iconic missionary who devoted her life to helping the poor. As a Roman Catholic Religious Sister and missionary of Kosovo Albanian origin who lived for most of her life in India. Anyone seeking help no matter what the reason was never turned away. Devoted herself to helping everyone even those with serious diseases like Aids and leprosy. What she did during her lifetime would take an entire power point to discuss so for EXTRA CREDIT please turn in a short list of her greatest works and achievements and why they changed the world by next Friday!!!! 7 Diana, Princess of Wales She is best known for her marriage and separation from Prince Charles who is second in line for the crown as King of England. After her marriage, separation and birth of two children she got involved in many charities and made that a big part of her new life. Some included Aids, Leprosy, and to ban the use of landmines. Her sudden death shocked the world and millions watched her funeral procession in August 1996 Her charitable works and lifestyle inspired many others to continue her legacy with many foundations and charities in England that are named after her. 8 Harper Lee Most famously known for her novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” This book is said to have sold over 18 Million copies! Published in 1960, the book although fun and light hearted it also dealt with serious issues involving rape and racial inequality which for the time frame wasn’t exactly popular amongst readers.
