10 .5 credit is earned for each class, each semester.  6 classes per semester is 3.0 credits (.5 credit x 6 classes)  3.0 credits x 2 semesters = 6.0 credits for 1 year

11  End of 9 th = 6.0 credits (at least 5.5)  End of 10 th = 12.0 credits (at least 11.0)  End of 11 th = 18.0 credits (at least 16.5)  You must have at least 16.5 credits when you start your 12 th grade year to be on track to graduate.

12  You have been assigned an English class and a Math class.  You will all take one semester of NextTools- this class has also been added for you  Most of you will choose a Science class.  Most of you will choose one or two elective courses.

18  Most students will take a Science class.  Choices:  Integrated Science  If recommended by your Science teacher, you may take Pre-AP Biology

22  Depending on how many classes you have, you can now choose from a number of elective classe\(s) that may interest you.  Most will have 2.5 credits  Remember to look at whether the class is offered for.5 credit (1 semester), 1.0 credits (whole year), or you may be able to choose.5 or 1.0.

23  Visual & Performing Arts (p.58)  Classes must be taken for the FULL YEAR (1.0 credit).  Fitness (PE) (p.38)  Classes can be taken for a semester, or for the full year (.5 or 1.0 credit).  World Language (p.63)  If you plan to attend a 4 year college or university directly from High School, you will need 2.0 credits of the same language. You may choose to take a Language course next year. ▪ American Sign Language (ASL) ▪ French ▪ Spanish  Check the listings for other electives to determine if a class is taken for a semester, or for the full year.

27  Now it is time to enter the classes you chose into the computer  Directions for doing this will be given to you  We will go through the directions step by step with you  After you have entered in all your classes- raise your hand for assistance. We’ll help with printing.

28  Keep the copy of your forecasting requests  Take it home and go over it, and the curriculum guide with your parents/guardians.  Leave the colored forecasted sheet with Bay Counselors
