13 Education Communities  RATIONALE: Need to ensure sustainability of various education programs on the local level  Program includes: - Education summit to engage all sectors – local government, DepEd, parents, private sector, civil society - Action program agreed upon by entire community, with roles and responsibilities for its success

14 Ayala Young Leaders Program  RATIONALE: The country’s continuous need for values-based, servant leaders in all sectors  The program includes: - Nationwide selection of best campus leaders - Four day congress with leaders who are role models in various sectors - Alumni Network with 23 chapters - LeadCom – community-based leadership program

15 Environment - Solid Waste Management Program  RATIONALE: The country faces a crisis as landfills are no longer able to absorb solid waste  Program includes: - training of building administrators, mall tenants, subdivisions in the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle and proper segregation - partnering with network of recyclers and livelihood groups to convert trash into cash

17 Diaspora Philanthropy  RATIONALE: Tap overseas Filipinos for development programs in the Philippines  Ayala Foundation USA established in 2000  Raised US$10.5M to date from about 7,000 donors  Transformed into the Philippine Development Foundation led by Filipino-Americans focused on strengthening the science and technology sector for accelerated economic growth and global competitiveness

18 Mangyans in Mindoro  RATIONALE: To assist indigenous peoples to access their ancestral domain claim  Programs include: - Scholarships for Mangyan children up to college or voc-tech courses - Health programs - Assistance in getting their Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title over 5,000 hectares - Assistance in developing their sustainability plan
