3 Superintendent proposes to consider construction of new administration building to Board May 2010 Board gives approval to begin search for architect firms for construction of new administration building June 2010 Board gives approval for Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to conduct facilities assessment at a cost of $4700 July 2010

4 TASB presents facilities assessment to the Lindsay ISD Board of Trustees November 2010 Board approves to proceed with hiring of an architect to present pros and cons of renovating and/or relocating K – 6 buildings February 2011 Architect firm field narrowed to five for the Board to interview March 2011

5 Architect firms interviewed by Board Selection narrowed to three firms April 2011 Harper Perkins selected as architect of record CHA selected as engineer of record June 2011 Letter of agreement and notice to proceed with Harper Perkins Architects approved by Board September 2011

6 Open public forums with Harper Perkins Architects to get community input in developing master plan October November 2011 Harper Perkins Architects presents four master plan proposals to the Board December 2011 LISD Board of Trustees agrees to proceed with a modified plan of “Option 1” as presented by Harper Perkins Architects January 2012

7 Series of special board meetings to finalize master plan and gather input relating to bond election January 2012 LISD Board of Trustees agrees to call for a $7.9 Million Bond Election to be held May 12 February 2012 Community meeting to discuss details and facts of bond election April 2012

15 $7.9 Million Approximately $1 Million in current District funds will be utilized outside of the Bond Proceeds to renovate buildings rented from the church

16 TAXPAYERS AGE 65 AND OVER WILL NOT EXPERIENCE AN INCREASE IN THEIR TAX BILL FOR THEIR HOMESTEAD AS A RESULT OF THIS BOND ELECTION

27  Form a PAC (Political Action Committee)  Register the PAC with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees  Raise money to be spent to pass the bond election  Keep track of the money raised and the money spent and provide the required reports on spending in the format and at the time required  Create brochures that can explain why this project is the best solution and to urge a vote for the bond issue  Create signs that can urge passage of the bond issue  Take out ads to explain the need, the solution and to advocate for the passage of the bond election  Host meetings where the community can come together to get a presentation on the bond issue and to promote voting and voting for passage
