2 2 © APICS Confidential and Proprietary What is a “District”? A defined geographic area APICS has more than 200 local chapters in North America, which are divided into 9 geographic Districts. Established to provide structure for Chapter management training Each District elects a District Manager through a special nomination committee made up of chapter leaders within the District.

9 9 © APICS Confidential and Proprietary The District Manager has a volunteer District support staff to assist with;  The development and implementation of chapter management training – Sources – Handbooks – Web based data – Other Chapters – Coordination of efforts – Facilitation – Training – Sharing  And two-way communication between APICS corporate and the local chapter. – Direction – Changes – Goals – Concerns These individuals serve on the District Manager Committee and provide support and guidance to enable chapters to meet the minimum standards in promoting the objectives of the Association.

Estimated revenue $2,500. Request support of chapters for GLD meetings once per year. For example, donation of a dollar per member for each chapter for one district meeting per year.
