2 What is heidi? Web-based management information tool Ability to create reports and charts from a broad range of data about HE Subscription service, available to HEI's and approved stakeholders heidi is run by HESA as a self-funding, not-for- profit service

3 Background to heidi Developed in partnership with The University of Leeds, with funding from LGM fund and funding councils Aimed to reduce burden on HEI’s by providing access to a wide variety of HE data in one place System went live during April 2007 88% of HEI's currently subscribe

5 What HESA data is included? Student Staff Destination of leavers Finance Key Financial Indicators HE-BCI Parts A and B Student Staff Ratios Performance Indicators HEMS (higher education management statistics) … most data covering period 2001/02 to 2009/10
