Module Aims The aim of this learning session is to include all forms of knowledge and behaviour that an individual needs to have in order to be able to participate in an efficient and constructive way in social life and be able to resolve conflict. Communication and interpersonal effectiveness skills, improvement of cross cultural communication, development of the social and civic competence as well as basic issues of the European Union are included in the module.

Module Objectives A general objective is to improve the interpersonal, intercultural, social and civic competences. More specifically: –Understand different types of communication –Realise the importance of body language –Understand distances and positions –Develop interpersonal communication competence –Understand different types of dress code and when each is appropriate

Module Objectives –Improve work and life balance –Improve cross cultural communication –Develop social competence through the understanding of concepts of individual, group and society –Develop civic competence through the understanding of concepts such as civil and political rights, different types of government, democracy and citizenship –Develop knowledge on European Union issues such as rights, freedoms and principles, institution and policy makers –Understand emigration and immigration
