Types of submission Each journal has its own submission system Refer to the information supplied by selected journal Hard copy submission via airmail (less common) E-mail submission On-line submission

First submission Copy right transfer The Journal shall own the work, including, Copyright The right to grant permission to republish the article in whole or in part, with or without fee The right to produce preprints or reprints and translate into languages other than English for sale or free distribution The right to republish the work in a collection of articles in any other mechanical or electronic format. Declaration Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors

Continued Permissions Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors. Galley Proof Submission Edit and proof read your manuscript carefully prior to submission. All corrections should be mentioned very clearly on final proof. Alterations to the original text at the proof stage are strongly discouraged and may result in charges to author. To enable rapid publication, the authors are encouraged to return all correspondence within 72 hours.

On-line manuscript submission Internet-based submission system Authors should submit their manuscripts online. Electronic submission substantially reduces the editorial processing and reviewing times and shortens overall publication times.

Type of on-line submission One time submission Manuscript and other files are submitted in once within a time period. Re-visit submission Manuscript and other files are added, edited, changed and submitted after final process. Manuscript and files may be saved each time of visit before final submission

Continued Recommended referees/reviewers Provide names and addresses This may be skipped Not recommended referees/reviewers Provide names and addresses To avoid conflict between authors and reviewers A confirmation will be shown in the system screen and a notification of successful submission will be sent via e-mail to the corresponding author

Manuscript tracking system Corresponding author may check the status of the manuscript via on-line submission Author, reviewers, and editor log in the same system with different positions E-mail alert is common to notify the corresponding author about the change of the status of manuscript
