6 kms from our school towards Sarjapur.
Many children travel on their own cars.

On an average 56 children are being transported in their own cars.

spending Rs. 67, and wasting
liters of petrol per month.

8. Solution If 56 children take one school bus.
Distance from Kodi to school =6km
Milage of a bus =5km
Capacity of bus =50 seats
Amount of diesel per day =5litres
Distance travelled by the bus =24km
Amount of diesel per month =130litres
Cost of diesel per month =Rs. 4,160/-
If 56 children are being transported in a single bus we can save around 1150 liters of petrol per month. 14,800 liters per year.
