7 New Roads Scholar Program To receive a certificate, complete ten approved courses in a three-year period. Participants may also earn one class credit by completing CPR training through the American Red Cross. To receive credit, they must submit a copy of their certification to LTAP, within the three-year window.

19 Sample General Comments December 2006 Evaluations Thank you for the experienced assistance; it helped greatly. Mark knew and understood what information we needed – was familiar with our project, provided information, and coached us for our presentation. Mark is an “encyclopedia” of traffic engineering, detailed issues. Patrick did a fine job. I find LTAP training/programs to be of great assistance.

22 October 2-4, 2007 at Radisson Valley Forge – 75 th Anniversary of Southeastern Chapter – Requested 4 half-day LTAP workshops be presented in full – Two maintenance and two safety to be determined – Next planning meeting is April 12 APWA Symposium

23 Roads Scholar Program It is alive and well!

24 Roads Scholar Program One level only Complete 10 classes in 3 years Upon completion, a quiz will be sent. Pass the quiz (35 correct answers out of 50) Certificate and Roads Scholar Hat

25 Roads Scholar and Evaluations A sample of the post-training quizzes will make up the final Roads Scholar Quiz

26 Roads Scholars Review student histories as of January 1, 2004, for students completing 10 classes Passed 6 or more PSU courses and completed balance under PSATS contract Receive Roads Scholar Certificate

27 Roads Scholars Students who have 10 completed classes since January 2004 – 7 Roads Scholar Certificates to be provided Students who have completed 9 classes since January 2004 – Personalized letters to be sent to 5 indicating remaining requirements
