1 Group-II Adoption of Improved Technology for Efficient Use of Water, Nutrients & Plant Protection Chemicals

2 Efficient Use of Water

3 To ensure efficient use of water State is focusing on: Awareness of the farmers, Panchayats, Local bodies etc. regarding consumptive use of water through participatory approach. Proper water management in rainfed areas through water conservation technologies. Judicious use of water in irrigated areas through proper water conveyance system and suitable cropping systems.

4 “Enhancement of Water Use Efficiency in Bundelkhand & Vindhyan Region” Scheme is under implementation in all the 10 districts of Bundelkhand & Vindhyan areas. Under the scheme Sprinkler irrigation system (Sprinkler set, pump set & HDPE pipe) are distributed on 90% subsidy to small & marginal farmers & on 50% subsidy to large farmers. During the 12 th Five Year Plan 25840 sprinkler irrigation systems are to be distributed at the expenditure of Rs.103.78 crore under this scheme.
