These are things that I do, not saying you should do them just that these are possibilities.

Please comment on why it was useful..The podcasts and the notes on the website because I am an athlete and my team was gone many fridays and on some occasions even earlier in the week. I was able to access the days notes from any location that there was internet access. Like the clicker tests. It would be useful if there was a little quiz at the start of the class about the previous days work.
