4. Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV) 9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread.

5. Matthew 6:9-13 continued 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

7. 1. God wants us to pray for natural provision.

8. Exodus 16:4-5 4 Then the L ORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

9. Exodus 16:4-5 continued 5 And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”

10. Exodus 16:15 15 So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.

11. Exodus 16:15 …And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the L ORD has given you to eat.

12. Exodus 16:16-18 16 This is the thing which the L ORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’”

13. Exodus 16:16-18 continued 17 Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less. 18 So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need.

14. Provision comes from God!

15. Proverbs 30:8 …Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me;

16. Jesus preached a provision Gospel.

17. 2. God wants us to pray for spiritual provision.

18. John 6:31-33 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”

19. John 6:31-33 continued 32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

20. Matthew 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”

21. Deuteronomy 8:3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the L ORD.

22. John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.
