2.  Don’t repeat your resume.  Keep it short- Less. Is. More. Three paragraphs, tops. Half a page, tops. Skip lengthy exposition and jump right into something juicy  Address Nobody- Sometimes, you don’t know exactly who you should be addressing your letter to. Nix the generic and bland “Dear Hiring Manager” or “To Whom It May Concern”.  Send it as a PDF  Never ever, ever use the following phrase “My name is ___, and I am applying for the position as ____”. They already know this, and you’ll sound inexperienced.  Close Strong- Finish off by quickly (and I mean quickly) explaining how your experience or worldview will help you at the job. That’s key. That’s the closer. And it can be done in one to two seconds. If it goes any longer, you’re just rambling COVER LETTER

3. RESUME 1. Stick to a Standardized Font 2. Keep Important Points at the Top -The following resume subheadings could be included: Contact Info, Summary of Core Qualifications, Relevant Work Experience, Relevant Volunteer and Other Experience, Education and Honors & Awards. 3. Don't Be So Stiff 4. Clean Up Your Resume Regularly- Be sure to review your resume often and make changes and updates as needed. There's nothing like a last-minute job application and an outdated resume that gets a too-quick scrubbing instead of an in-depth cleaning to derail your chances at being hired.

5.  THIS IS A GRADED ASSIGNMENT.  Role play: One person is the interviewer and one is the interviewee. After you both have practice in both spots, log on to your school email account. You will have an email invite for an online interview through Sparkhire. Please click on the link and begin your online interview. There will be two questions that were picked from the list you just role-played. After you feel good with your video answers, submit them.  If you do not finish, you can finish it at home.
