3 Reminder To say “at the” in Spanish Write “a la” or “a el” BUT “a el” = “al” ALWAYS

4 ir + a + location/place If you want to say you are going to a specific place, use the “ir + a + place” formula. – For example, if you want to say, “I am going to the park” in Spanish you would say, “Voy al parque.” a el parque a el = al al parque

5 Practice “ir + a + location” How would you say: – “I am going to the gym.” Voy al gimnasio. (a + el = al)

6 Practice “ir + a + location” – “They are going to the beach.” Van a la playa.

7 More Practice with “ir + a + location” – “We are going to the mountains.” Vamos a las montañas.

8 “ir + a + location” – “They are going to the swimming pool. Van a la piscina.

9 “ir + a + location” – “He is going to the country.” Él va al campo.
