7 Irony: 3 Types Take good notes Verbal Irony- Sarcasm For example, “Oh great, I just spilled ketchup on my brand new Jordans.” Is it really great? No! Situational Irony-When the opposite happens in a situation. For example: You are dying of thirst in the middle of the ocean. Dramatic Irony- When the audience knows something is going to happen but the character does not, For example: Romeo “I fear some consequence…” No, Romeo! Don’t go to the party! You will die!!!!
