13. God is a God of order not chaos. He has ordained political institutions. (Rom 13) We live under their authority. We pray for those in authority. We serve our community.

14. Our prayers do make a difference as we seek the peace and prosperity of our world, nation, town. Jeremiah 29:7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you… Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.

We show them the same grace that we receive …whilst still sinners (Rom 5)
We experience greater peace & freedom in our own lives than if we don’t pray.
That they might see Jesus in us.

Do we have bitterness in our heart? Who is it attached to? Where do we harbour a grudge? All fear and bitterness is based on a belief that God’s love has limits. Forgive as you have been forgiven. Which enemies are on our prayer list? Bless their lives – greater peace, freedom and forgiveness will come in our lives.
