6 Habitat  The preferred breeding habitat is tundra, and so the Canadian goose can be found in the Northern United States during breeding season.  Open, grassy habitats including temperate, terrestrial, and freshwater niches as well as tundra, semi-desert, wooded areas, and agricultural land.

7 Interesting Facts  Newly hatched babies (called 'goslings') are able to swim immediately  The female typically lays a clutch of 5 to 7 white eggs (though the number can range anywhere from 2 to 12) while the male guards the nesting area.

8 Fun’ish Facts  Have become a nuisance for some airlines  50 geese can produce 2.5 tons of excrement or crap each year.  Can cover 1500 miles in a “V” formation under 24 hours
