Record Booking The 4-H Record Book (RB) is completed through a series of assignments. Find them under the heartbeat at the top of your Edmodo screen. Scroll to the bottom of the assignments to complete the first: The“4-H Introduction.”

RBing: 4-H Introduction Type your assignment into the reply box, below. Follow the example provided for you. Your leaders may coach you as you go along.

RBing: Goal Setting The assignments contain 3 SMART goals 9 more optional goals Juniors: at least 1 goal. Intermediates & seniors: at least 3 goals. Optional goal assignments can be used when goals change, or if you want to track more goals.

RBing: Goal Setting Write your SMART goal in the “Type a Reply” box. Instructions and an example are provided.

RBing: Goal Setting Your leaders may give you feedback (and a score) on your goal so that it will meet the SMART qualities. You can make revisions until it is a “SMART goal!”

RBing: Goal Setting Your leaders may give you feedback (and a score) on your goal so that it will meet the SMART qualities. You can make revisions until it is a “SMART goal!”

RBing: Monthly Goal Updates Update at least one goal each month. Tell goal progress. Tell troubles you’ve had. Ask for advice. Show pictures! Add a weblink. Or a document! Your leaders will be looking for your updates and be ready to give you support and answer your questions.

RBing: Monthly Updates Monthly quizzes remind you of four things you should do each month: Updating SMART goals Changing goals Updating financial records Adding pictures or interacting with others on the wall Find each month’s quiz on the wall by scrolling down.

Financial Accounting/Add Sheets Four of the RB assignments are for updating your financial records.

Financial Accounting/Add Sheets You can find some tools for completing your financial records in FOLDERS.

Financial Accounting/Add Sheets One option for the financial accounting requirement. Simply download the blank form. Complete it. Upload it. Download your OWN form and reupload each time the assignment is due.

RBing: Year in Review The “Year in Review” is one of the last RB assignments.

The Permanent Record Book (PRB) The PRB is the last assignment. Accessing an Edmodo-based PRB requires joining another Edmodo group. The leader will give you this code.

PRB Assignments 13 assignments in the PRB group form the basis of the 4-Hers’ permanent record.

PRB Example Here is an example of a 4- Hers’ list of public presentations from her PRB. Unlike the annual RB, the 4- Her updates the PRB every year. This way it creates a permanent record of the 4- Hers’ career.

Planner By clicking on the “Blue 30” you can access a calendar. RB assignment deadlines will display here. Leaders can post events and activities. You can make “task lists” in the box called, “someday.”

Happy RBing! Edmodo RBs are NEW! You can expect success and challenges! There’s more to Edmodo…but this should get you started. For more help, – there is an 80 page “manual” designed for RB administrators/leaders. – Edmodo “help” pages are terrific – Share your feedback and questions with me, lhbikos@spu.edu lhbikos@spu.edu
