Your Assignment: Design a Logo using your initials Design Criteria: –Use your first and last initial –Design a style of lettering that represents your personality – Color and pattern should also represent you –Be Creative!!

Steps 1. Take a look at different font styles, or typography, and choose/create your own lettering style that expresses YOU.

2. Create a logo-style design using these letters, and create a design that helps express your idea.

3. Design a surface decoration that helps express your idea.

Consider the PATTERN and the COLOR scheme- what do you want to express? Choose a limited color palette- repeat the same three colors or use colors from one color family.

Trace your design onto cardboard 2 times, and cut out. This will form the front and back surfaces of your design. Cut out any additional elements that will pop out- these only need to be cut ONE time, because they will only pop out on the front.

Glue spacers between front and back to create a 3-D object. Add paper mache on open edges first, then all over using NEWSPAPER strips first, and then a single layer of SMALL paper towel pieces to create smooth, white surface.

When fully dry, we will paint using acrylics.
