4. MAIL Send Message From: To: The Last Supper 1495-1498 Dear my fellow artist Michelangelo, I am writing to inform that I have started a painting called the Last Supper. This particular painting represents the scene of The Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, as it is told in the Gospel of John. I have illustrated the event where Jesus announces that one of his twelve disciples will betray him. I have sadly made a mistake as to the painting technique that I used. Years later from now, the painting will soon start to flake. It will last as it is and will in the future also. When I am finished the painting, I will send you an attachment and if you can be as kind as to give my feedback on what you think about, that would be greatly appreciated. In return, you may send me one of yours and I may give you some feedback also. The Last Supper has a strong meaning to most people and I would like for it to be a perfect and clear explanation as to what is happening and what the sole purpose of the painting is. Thank you. NEWS The NMS Bulletin 1472-1475 LEONARDO’S ANNUNCIATION This is a painting of the traditional subject of the Annunciation, by the Italian Renaissance artists Leonardo da Vinci and Andrea del Verrocchio. The angel holds a Madonna lily, a symbol of Mary's virginity and of the city of Florence. It is supposed that Leonardo originally copied the wings from those of a bird in flight. Leonardo’s artwork has been recognized worldwide and this is just one of his many achievements.
