10 The Interview Mr. Kirk: He described the corporate atmosphere as being positive, honest and highly flexible. He appeared to be a transformational manager. His subordinates are given maximum autonomy and their input is highly valued when making decisions. Human resources model.

11 Communication Within the Firm Deloitte Touche uses Microsoft Outlook as its email provider for the whole company. Outlook has a feature that allows any Deloitte personnel to attain contact information from any other employee in Deloitte. Deloitte also uses a private instant messenger within the company so that employees can reach each other immediately.

12 Communication Within the Firm (contd.) Although the organization uses technology to its advantage it encourages employees to have personal visits. The firm also gives each employee a personal voicemail extension.

13 Communication Outside the Firm In accounting, there are employees that work personally with the clients, while the project leaders communicate mostly through email or telephone.
