7. Ski 2016 After detailed and lengthy negotiation The Liverpool Primary Ski Association have been able to secure another excellent deal for the 2016 Liverpool Primary Ski Course. The fantastic news is that there will be no price increase at all for next year. We are also guaranteed the use of two hotels which are more modern than the two used last year. Both hotels are in close proximity to the ski slopes. We will also be using airports which are closer to the resorts than was the case with the use of Geneva Airport this year.

Ski 2016 The association has negotiated three trips for 2016, which are offered at exactly the same price as last year: Saturday, 6 th February to Saturday, 13 th February 2016: Hotel Olympic in Serre Chevalier. Saturday, 27 th February to Saturday, 5 th March 2016: Hotel Beau Soleil Blanche in Alpe D’Huez. Saturday, 12 th March to Saturday 19 th March 2016: Hotel Olympic in Serre Chevalier. The ski courses have been booked through the Equity Ski Company, which is one of the most experienced companies as regards the organisation of school trips.

14. Ski 2016 – Hotel Olympic This Hotel is a short walk from the brand new cable car in the Chantmerle district of Serre Chevalier. Last year, the owners spent over 400 000 Euros to refurbish the hotel. One of the Liverpool groups visited Serre Chevalier this year and they found it to be an excellent ski resort.

15. Skiing! The courses are run by very experienced teaching staff, many of whom are qualified headteachers. Staff members provide very high levels of pupil supervision. The courses also include a qualified nurse. As with all our school trips we expect children who do take part to demonstrate a very high standard of behaviour. The children will also need to have a good level of fitness and maturity.

18. Ski 2016 – What happens next? We have asked for a £50 deposit to be handed in by at least Tuesday 12 th May. This will reserve a place for your child to take part in the course. If for any reason the trip does not go ahead the deposits will be refunded. The Association has indicated that it will reserve places for our children on the trip to Serre Chevalier on the 6th February. The Association may have to switch our children to one of the other trips, depending on the combination of numbers from other schools. If this is the case and the new date proves to be inconvenient for parents the deposit will be refunded in full.

19. The price of the course covers all of the following: Coach transfers between Liverpool and Manchester Airport Return flights between Manchester and a conveniently located airport. Coach transfers to and from the ski resort 7 nights full-board accommodation Two ski lessons per day, for six days Lift pass for six days to cover the resort area Hire of skis, ski boots, ski poles and safety helmet. Full instruction from an instructor from the French National Ski School. Ski assessment undertaken by the instructor, certificates and badges Fully comprehensive insurance, with no medical excess charge Snow insurance guarantee All local taxes Full support and advice, in resort, from a company representative Daily evening entertainment (usually including quiz, disco, bingo etc.) Soft drinks with evening meal. The all-inclusive cost will be £675. This price presents great value.

20. What your child will get from the Course! An invaluable, life changing experience, learning to Ski and seeing a fantastic part of the world! Both independence and the ability to work as a team! Lessons in the best classroom they will EVER see.
