2. Optical Medicine Optical Medicine (aka Optometry) is a health field that deals with care for eyes and everything dealing with sight. This can include diseases such as glaucoma and eye infections.

3. Optometry Jobs An Optometrist is an average eye doctor who gives you an annual check up and gives you a prescription for glasses or contacts. Optometrist Assistants help an optometrist with the scheduling of appointments and some of the basic vision tests but don’t actually diagnose patients.

4. Emergency Emergency room care is for injuries that need immediate assistance. It is a form of health care that is open daily.

5. ER Occupations Emergency Physicians - General Doctors that give care in the ER. Emergency Nurses - Nurses that work in the ER. Emergency Medical Technicians/Paramedics- Specially trained in transporting trauma victims to the ER and taking there vital signs in ambulances.

6. Laboratories Laboratories process all of the blood tests that doctors send in. Research and development also happen in labs.

7. Laboratory Occupations Lab Technician- They take all the tests and run them through the machines to get information from them. Lab Technologist- They know how all the machines that the technicians use work, and understand them in detail.

8. Genetic Counseling Genetic Counseling is helping families determine the effects genetics have on any inherited disorders their families might be carrying.

9. Genetic Counseling Genetic Counselors are responsible for sitting the family down and discussing what their genetic tests have shown about the potential carried disorders.
