End of Year Project Over the next 2 days you will select 1 standard that we studied this year and create an “A to Z” Periodic Table to represent that standard

Standard 6.P.1 Forces and Motion Waves (sound, light, seismic) Light Sound

Standard 6.P.2 Matter: Properties and Change Matter States of Matter Properties of Matter

Standard 6.P.3 Energy: Conservation and Transfer Heat Transfer Electromagnetic Spectrum Conductors and Insulators

Standard 6.E.1 Earth in the Universe Space Exploration Earth in the Solar System Sun, Moon, Earth

Standard 6.E.2 Earth Systems, Structures and Processes Earth Structure Plate Tectonics Soil Stewardship

Standard 6.L.1 Structures and Functions of Living Organisms Flowering Plant Structures Photosynthesis Transpiration Respiration

Standard 6.L.2 Ecosystems Biomes Plant Adaptations Food Chains and Webs

Guidelines…. You will select only 1 standard All standards will be posted on the wall for you to review You will have 5 minutes to rotate around the room and make your selection You will record the information about the standard you selected onto your index card

Guidelines… Once you have selected your standard, you will create a poster in the shape of the periodic table (teacher will provide an example) You will have 2 days in class to complete your poster Your periodic table will have 26 boxes Each box will represent 1 letter in the alphabet You must pick words that only relate to your standard to complete your periodic table

Guidelines… For example: Standard 6.E.1 Earth in the Universe A = Apollo Program, Asteroid Belt (these are good choices because we studied these during this unit) A = Atom, Abiotic (these are not good choices because we did not study these during this unit) You must chose letters that relate to your standard! QUESTIONS???????????

Guidelines…. This project is an in-class project It must be completed by the end of class tomorrow No exceptions This is worth 2 formal grades in the gradebook
