2. THE INVASION’S PROLOGUE  In the day of June 22, 1941, the invasion had began.  Hitler’s army invaded the soviets even though they have the largest army in the world, they weren’t ready for an ambush.  Their army (soviets) weren’t well equipped or trained.  So basically even though the soviets have a large army, it’s just for show.

3. GERMAN’S LEADING THE WAR  Hitler’s army invaded nearly 500 miles of the Soviet Union.  The soviets were running away using a strategy to burn everything in their path.  This strategy was previously used against Napoleon.  Hitler had the upper hand later on by putting Leningrad under restriction.

4. PEOPLE OF SOVIET UNION SUFFER  More than 2.5 million soviet people starved from Hitler bombing their food production factories.  They began eating cattle and horse feed, cats, dogs, crows, and worst of all… rats.

5. UNITED STATES… RESCUERS  They didn’t want to interfere in the war, but were drawn into the war by the fall of their allies.  They sold American arms to their allies but were taken by their own ships in 1939.  Both Americans and British had sailed on their ships with American arms.  Hitler ordered his subs to sink any ship in its way.

6. THE ATLANTIC CHARTER  Upheld free trade among nations and people can choose their own government.  It served as the allies’ peace plan at the end of WWII.  A U-submarine destroyed one of the U.S. ships and lit up a naval war between Hitler and the U.S.
