3 Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) o Private university o It is the biggest University in Spain by number of students (more than 16,000). o More than 15% of the students are foreigners. o It has more than 1,100 professors (ratio professor/student of 1 out of 16). o It offers 40 «titulaciones de grado», 39 «doble grados», 140 «titulaciones de postgrado» along with Laureate International Universities. o Its campuses are in Madrid, Valencia and in Canarias Islands.

4 Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) o It has a strong international focus: it takes part in the Laureate International Universities network, with 750.000 students spread over 29 countries worldwide. o Thanks to the Laureate International Universities network, you can do internships abroad, achieve doble degrees in numerous Universities worldwide, win erasmus scholarships and attend classes totally or partially in English.

5 European Higher Education Area (EHEA) o It is meant to ensure more comparable, compatible and coherent schemes that comply with common standards of Higher education system in Europe. o It provides an instant acknowledgment of the educational qualifications anywhere in Europe.

10 Admission Process (2013-2014) 1) Present and formalise the admission request: Fill in the application form for admission. Reserve the date for the exam: March, 16th April, 13th and 27th May, 11th and 25th June, 22nd and 29th 2) Administrative fees 3) Entrance exam From February, 22nd to June, 24th

11 Entrance Exam (40%) o English Test (15%): - Based on the methodology of «Cambridge University Press» - 70 multiple choice questions (listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary) - Duration: 1 hour o «Carta de motivación» (25%): - In order to prove both motivation and vocation of the candidate - 11 open questions - Duration: 45 min. – 1 hour - It can be written either in English or Spanish

12 Admission Process 4) Complete the application form (60%): «Calificación media de bachillerato» + PAU (Prueba de Acceso a la Universidad) Or: Esame di Stato + Credencial UNED 5) Candidate’s admission: 10 days from the publication of the final results to formalise the enrolment. Payment of «reserva de plaza», opening of «expediente» (enrolment fees) and of the first monthly tuition fee. Until July, 1st From July, 5th to July, 20th

15 Admission Process & Entry Requirements (Dental School) No deadline to present the documentation and sit the english test + interview (until the beginning of the courses) No restricted entry

16 o Interview* o English test* o It lasts in total 2 hours o Administrative fees o The candidate is admitted the same day he undergoes all the admission process o Payment of “reserva de plaza” within 10 days (enrolment fees) *(Both interview and english test do not set any cut-off) Admission Process
