2 In a 3 dimensional figure… - a face is a flat surface.- the sides are called lateral faces.- The edges are the segments formed by the intersecting faces.- The edges intersect at the vertices.- 3D figures have length, width, and depth (or height).
3 Volume of a Rectangular Prism The volume of a three dimensional figure is the measure of the space occupied by it.It is measured in cubic units such as cubic centimeters (cm3) or cubic inches (in3 ).The Volume of a Rectangular PrismThe volume V of a rectangular prism is the product of the length L, the width W and the height H.Formula: V = L × W × H
