1. Natural Disasters!

2. Lets Explore!  Today We are going to explore a few different Natural Disasters? Don’t know what a Natural Disaster is or what it looks like?? No worries because by the end of todays class you all will be mini experts on them!

3. Process  There will be 6 different groups in the classroom. Each group will be given a different natural disaster to research throughout the class. There will be a recorder, 2 researchers, a leader, and reader in each group. For example, one group will be given Earthquakes as their natural disaster to research. They will be given 6 questions that are to be answered about their natural disaster by the end of class. Each group also tell the class 3 facts about their natural disaster before the end of class

5. Answer These Questions!  What causes your natural disaster?  In what areas are your natural disaster more common?  Is your natural disaster preventable/avoidable? (Caused by humans?) If yes, How?  Have you ever been involved in a natural disaster before? If yes, what safety precautions did you take?  Which of the 6 Natural disasters is the worst? Why?  Are some of our animal species endangered due to natural disasters?
