Setting up Email in Outlook Express

Select “Tools” from the toolbar menu

From the “Tools” menu select “Accounts”

From the “Mail” tab, select “Add” from the right side menu then click on “Mail” from the options listed

In the connection wizard that opens, type in the users name and select “Next”

Enter the users full email address and select “Next”

The system is a POP3 server Enter the Incoming and Outgoing server data as shown Incoming Server: pop1.deltacom.net / Outgoing Server: smtp1.deltacom.net Click “Next” after entering the server information

Enter the full email address for the “Account name” Enter the “Password” that was assigned to the users email box on the Email Server Click “Next” after entering the user information Do not mark the box next to “Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”

The basic configuration is complete. Select “Finish” to close the Wizard

The basic configuration is complete but the set up must be adjusted to allow for outgoing authentication for sending email through the server. Select “Properties” from the side menu

Under the “Outgoing Mail Server” select the setting option for “My server requires authentication” and then click “OK”

If all the setting information was correctly entered your email client should be ready to go. If you get any error messages from the program, verify that there were no misspellings and that you entered the correct username and password. If the issues persist call our Customer Service line at 800-239-3000 for additional assistance. Click “Close” to complete the user configuration
