2 Freedom is Freedom! Abby is outside in her backyard and sees a bunny that looks abandoned. Abby should leave this bunny alone, but no. Abby decides to pick up the bunny and raise it as a pet. Abby just took an animal out of its natural habitat. Bob also runs into a situation similar to this at his barbecue. Bob sees a bunny that also looks abandoned. He takes a second look at it and goes back to flipping his burgers. Wild animals should not ben pets. For instance, you are taking the animal out of it’s natural habitat, they are very difficult to care for, the person or animal usually ends up dying and they are not supposed to be pets! Many people wonder why other people think that it is okay to keep wild animals as pets. THINK What would you do in this situation? Your killing them, their not killing themselves! Ways you can help! Freedom is Freedom! “But… But…”

3 You Are Killing Them, Their Not Killing Themselves. Wild animals are difficult to care for. If they are sick, they often will need medicines that are hard to get. Wild animals are also unpredictable and can fight, which might lead to death. One tragic story is of Carl Wiser who kept buffalos as pets. One day one of his buffalos attacked his horse. He stepped into the middle of it and ended up dying. This is just one example of wild animals lashing out. Wild animals are also difficult to care for because if the owner dies and they have an illegal, secret pet, the animal will starve to death. Just like this Bengal tiger, Sabrina. Sabrina was found ten days after her owner died. When she was found, she was 100 pounds underweight and was close to dying. She then recovered at a sanctuary. These are just two of many stories about wild animals as pets. Your Killing Them, Their Not Killing Themselves! Ways you can help! Freedom is Freedom! “But… But…”
