Thousands of greyhound are killed every year due to not having no racing potential or are injured and can no longer race. Dog fighting is a cruel sport where people force two to fight, usually to the death. There are 40,000 professional dog fighters and 100,000 street fighters. The losing dog may live through the fight but killed afterward. Neglect- is a failure to provide an animal with food, water, shelter, and veterinary care. Law authorities can remove the animal if these are not provided. Some people hand over the animals to the authorities if they do not want the responsibility of taking care of the animal, or if they realize they are doing something hurtful to the animal. Intentional Cruelty- is when an animal is purposely beaten, tortured, or even killed. It can be much worse then that and a good indicator of serious human behavior problems.
