Multiverse theory Mason Elsberry Jordan Hutchinson John Palmer Krieger

2 What is a Multiverse? A multiverse is a set of an infinite number of universes existing together. The Multiverse theory is the idea that there are multiple universes, co-existing with our own. While these other universes may exist, we cannot confirm they are there nor do we know how the work. This graph represents the amount of times the Multiverse was mentioned over the years.

3 Multiverse Theory The multiverse theory is the hypothetical set of infinite or finite universes that together comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, and energy as well as the physical laws and constants that describe them. The term ‘multiverse’ was created in by American philosopher and psychologist William James. This theory has several supporters, including Stephen Hawking, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Max Tegmark, and Alan Guth.

4 Greene’s nine types American theoretical physicist and string theorist Brian Greene discussed the nine types of universes These universes are: Quilted, Inflationary, Brane, Cyclic, Landscape, Quantum, Holographic, Simulated, and Ultimate.

5 Quantum multiverse The quantum multiverse theory is the idea that a new universe is made after every new event occurs. If this theory is true, we would theoretically be able to travel between universes, and “Time- travel”.

6 Black holes A black hole is spot of massive gravity in space.
It’s gravity is so powerful, not even light can escape it Black holes are caused from collapsed stars

7 WormHoles A wormhole is a theoretical “tunnel” that allows for travel within or between universes. Black holes are believed to be wormholes

8 Time travel If wormholes do exist, time travel could be achieved
In the idea of there being multiple universes co-existing together, wormholes could allow travel between these multiverses. Due to relativity, time would pass faster outside of the wormhole than inside. The quantum multiverse theory supports this concept
