California Nursery Historical Park Vision Math Science Nucleus/CalNurCo

Vision for this park Create a 20 acre park with exhibits that celebrate this history, trails, picnic areas, rental, archival site Restore buildings to late 1930’s Bring back some areas and events (i.e. experimental orchard, water tower) as attractions Informational signs about the history with QR codes with more information, videos, etc (sell ap) Develop tours that would bring busloads of elementary students (Local History, Plant Genetics, etc) and work double as public tours during weekend

Packing Shed The Golden Age of agriculture started in the late 1800’s as transportation allowed large farms to sell their ware; wheat fields (prior to 1840’s) turned into orchards (people like Luther Burbank, John Rock, Fred and George Roeding developed new hybrids, varieties)
