4. Science Requirements Graduation from High School 3 Units The class options are explained under the sequence slides. Students planning to attend a four year college 3 Units 2 units must be in two different fields (Biology, Chemistry or Physics). A third can be in the same field as another. Courses in earth science, physical science or environmental science do not meet the requirement. Marine Biology and Human Anatomy do meet the requirements.

6. Science sequence for Honors/AP These courses are listed in the order they should be taken. (Math Prerequisites are listed beside the course if applicable.) Honors Physical Science (Honors Algebra 1 prerequisite) Honors Biology 1 Honors Chemistry 1 These next courses may be taken in any order after successful completion of the previous courses. AP Biology. This is a year long course. Honors Chemistry 2 (Honors Algebra 2 prerequisite) Honors Physics (Honors Algebra 1 prerequisite)

Students planning to attend a four year college 4 Units Algebra 1 (Applied Math/Algebra Tech 1 and 2 may count together as a substitute if Algebra 2 is successfully completed), Algebra 2 and Geometry. A fourth course can be selected from Algebra 3/Trigonometry, Pre- Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, discrete math or a senior level capstone math
