3 What is Supply Chain Management? Designing, Planning, and Operations of integrated multi- and inter- company product demand fulfillment activities where various companies (i.e., suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers) are integrated through real-time information flow and collaborations to deliver goods and services to ultimate customers at the right time and price.

4 Our Degree Program The strength of our program is that it combines e- Business knowledge with that of Supply Management into one concentration. The concentration was reviewed by the nation’s highly regarded ‘Institute for Supply Management (ISM)’, which highly recommended it to be a model throughout the US.

5 E-Business and Supply Chain Management Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in E-Business and Supply Chain Management The College of Business at Tennessee State university (TSU) is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International).

7 You Will Know How to: Find and develop suppliers Engage in Business-to-Business (B2B) transactions and relationships Design e-business web-enabled inventory systems that link all organizations in the supply chain-keeping inventory investment low.

8 You Will Know, cont.: Develop Data Management Systems that assist in Customer Relationship Management across supply chain. Manage Company Logistic Systems. Be involved in international negotiations to purchase required goods and services. Maintain and improve quality of materials and services.

Logistics --the second largest employment sector in the United States (Council of Logistics Management). Bureau of Labor Statistics projects, for 2001-2012: “Employment growth will be concentrated in the service- providing sector of the economy. Information, …, and transportation and warehousing are other service - providing industries that are projected to grow faster than average”.
