4 main changes from 2004 colocation with SPAA –joint registration, reception, meals, banquet –two common technical sessions costs –food more expensive –accomodations, flights cheaper beverages in business meeting

5 fund raising total: $25K –$ 5K carry-over from last year (Mark Tuttle’s miracle) –$20K from corporate sponsors Google, HP, Microsoft, Sun –in the future, keep trying with Intel, IBM, Telcordia –compiling list of contacts tell us if you know of a contact for a new sponsor

6 SIG use of left-over money returned to SIG lots of things useful to PODC –eg, digital scanning project but also (from SIGACT reports) –Kannelakis Prize, Knuth Prize –best student paper award for STOC –student travel awards to STOC –developing country travel award to go to STOC –student lunches for STOC, FOCS, and SODA

7 PODC capital assets use left-over money decrease costs in future years held by general chair or treasurer ACM rule: report purchases of $500+ current assets –computer projector –5 laser pointers
